Here is a list of all the books that I have read this year. I think it's now complete, since I plan on relaxing and enjoying the holidays without a book in hand. Shocking, I know. However, I just recently learned how to knit and that's occupying my "free" time in a stubborn urge to finish this scarf sooner rather than later.
Here are the list of books that I am going to try to read this year. (There's no point in committing to any of them because life changes as do the book choices! But it's a start and I've been intrigued by several books mentioned through Semicolon's Saturday Review of Books. Thank you everyone who wrote such awesome reviews and made such excellent suggestions this past year! I am looking forward to more exciting discoveries through the Saturday Review in 2008!
1. Fridle, recommended by Jennifer at Snapshot. Really, Jennifer! I haven't forgotten!
2. Quaker Summer, recommended by another Carrie.
3. The Art Thief, recommended by Literary Feline.
4. The Book Thief, which is pretty much recommended by everyone.
5. Excellent Women, recommended by Laura.
6. White House Nannies, recommended by my friend elrj.
7. Girl Meets God, recommended by my friend Ani (of Bookfest).
8. Confessions of a Shopaholic, recommended by my friend calon lan.
9. The Nazi Officer's Wife, recommended by Literary Feline.
10. the curious incident of the dog in the night-time, recommended by Sherry.
The only firm conclusion I have come up with for the new year is that I'm going to start it off with my pal C.S. Lewis. In no particular order we will read:
1. Surprised by Joy
2. Letters to Children
3. The Great Divorce
After those three, I will move on to Louisa May Alcott:
1. A Long Fatal Love Chase
2. Little Men
3. An Old Fashioned Girl
That's as far as I'm willing to go as far as establishing a reading plan. All I know is that you'll find the above mentioned 10 books (mostly from Saturday Reviews) randomly scattered about just for the fun of it!

You have a great reading year ahead of you! Enjoy your reading time off! I'm afraid I'd go into withdrawals if I tried something like that. Haha
