First up we have another Mysterious Benedict Society lover on our hands. I'm always glad to see that as I loved it myself! Great, great book. You haven't read it yet? Where've you been? What have you been doing? Go forth and purchase a copy post haste! I bought ANOTHER copy just the other day. The conversation with my husband went something like this:Jonathan: You bought another copy?
Carrie: Yes.
Jonathan: Didn't you just buy one?
Carrie: Yes. . . . . but that one was for Lisa (my friend who just came to visit) and this one is for _________ (nameless person who is getting it for Christmas).
Jonathan is reading it now.
Barchester at Penthorp (just the blog name should make you curious) reviewed Three Men in a Boat. I still want to read this one. It keeps popping up all over the place and I have the best of intentions, really. Perhaps 2009. Yes, that sounds good.I DID read Connie Willis' To Say Nothing of the Dog a year or so ago and loved it and now I just need to read the original source for some of the fodder. I will! I will! I will!
Ever have a book that you know you wouldn't ever read personally for yourself but you enjoy reading reviews of it? I have a few of those. (The Book Thief is a good example. Fascinating and compelling reviews but I found I liked those better than the book itself.) Here is another good example. Maw Books and The 19th Wife. It really is a fascinating subject matter and I am intrigued. But not enough. All the same, I loved her review! So there you have it - for whatever that is worth.
Lastly, Sarah at Library Hospital beat me to The Enchanted Castle. I would like to go on record as saying I had JUST bought a copy TWO DAYS before her review. (Or one day?) I was hoping to beat her to it. It was just a few weeks ago (Oct. 4th) that we each saw Fireside Musing's review of it and purposed to race to read it. I thought I had more time! Alas, I have failed. She's a sneaky thing, Sarah is. Go check out her review. She'll probably make you want to find a copy also. Those are my highlights of the week. What did you find?

Hi Carrie! I have some books like that as well. I see them reviewed everywhere but I doubt that I'd actually read the book. But I did love The Book Thief! Thanks for some linky love.
