. . . and I totally want to relax. Gone are the days when the weekend meant sleeping in and goofying off. Toddlers don't seem to understand the concept of letting mommies and daddies rest in peace and quiet. We can't even go to the "coffee store!" without taking care to bring them back a sample or a cookie. It's a busy life with few breaks.
Pariticipating in this little meme puts me in the frame of mind of a mental vacation. Let's see how much I got done before kids. The chances of my having done any of this afterwards are slim. ;) ha!

13. Watched a lightning storm at sea (While spending a weekend in an offshore house that was WAY COOL.)
14. Taught myself an art from scratch
15. Adopted a child
16. Had food poisoning
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown my own vegetables
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
20. Slept on an overnight train
21. Had a pillow fight
22. Hitchhiked
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill
24. Built a snow fort
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping
27. Run a Marathon
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset (I saw the sun rise just this morning, in fact. I thought that was unfortunate though. - ha!)

34. Visited the birthplace of my ancestors

37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied (That's an odd accomplishment.)

47. Had my portrait painted (Well. I was in an art class. And it was another student's assignment to draw me.)

50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris
51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling

53. Played in the mud
54. Gone to a drive-in theater
55. Been in a movie
56. Visited the Great Wall of China

58. Taken a martial arts class

62. Gone whale watching (I gave up after about 10 minutes though.)

97. Been involved in a law suit (several - I used to work in a District Attorney's office)

I think you have to be a world traveler in order to be "successful" in this meme. Obviously I'm not one. I've been to England and I was in London but I didn't witness the changing of the guards.
I've been to Prince Edward Island but the writers of this meme seem to have favored France in their questions. I've never been.
Alas. I have a few things more to do.

I wondered about the French emphasis myself. Why have "visited Paris" on the list when several items can only be done there?

Btw, this list really is for a woman who has done a lot of traveling... I mean, unless being a father permits them to say they had a baby. :)
