I've watched it X amount of times (not admitting the actual number) and can't quit laughing and snickering.
One thing is for certain: you WILL have an opinion about it!
. . . I know I do.

I love that video! I've also watched it X times, and crack up every single time. I think the first time I saw it I watched it 3 times in a row. So very very true, and funny. I think my pastor has that same table and chair, and I'm almost sure he has that outfit in his closet.
Wow...yes funny, but in a sad way...I guess we need to have ears to hear...I have to send it on to my 24 year old...thanks for sharing.
My thoughts are, "What would Jesus Say?"
Thought provoking! Thanks for sharing,
Janette
Awesome. Therein lies all (or many) of the problems in the modern church. Granted, some manage to follow this pattern and still make it meaningful. But so many others just follow the pattern and end up with a decent, if unmemorable, performance.
Oh my gosh Carrie! Too funny. Can we talk about church when you're here???
Heh heh...YES, Jennifer.
Okay. This is kind of funny. So I guess I've managed to keep my sense of humor, even when it hits close to home. It really manages to spoof 'some' of the modern church services. I happen to be a big follower of Southland Christian Church in Lexington, KY. It's a BIG church, and yes, follows the more modern template. But they do amazing things in the community. Things Christians are supposed to do. They make a "joyful noise" to the Lord with their instruments and voice, and their senior pastor, Jon Weece, is a gifted speaker who manages to bring scripture alive and make it relevant to the modern world. The message is so attractive, I think that's why it's a HUGE church. Their congregation is not dying out or anemic, it is vigorous and growing.
I think we've attended that church! It looks strangely familar :)
My church isn't quite that hip, so I couldn't relate to it on a personal basis, but I found it very funny. And very convicting, too. I think it's great when we can make fun of ourselves so that we can learn lessons from it.
have I mentioned your blog is my favorite?
Unfortunately all I see is "this video has been removed due to copyright infringement" yada yada yada. Which is too bad because I love a good spoof on churches.
