Anne of Green Gables Things That I Love.

Every year during the Lucy Maud Montgomery Reading Challenge, I have at least one post to point out different things I've found online that I love. This is that post.

As my regular readers might have caught on, our family recently started a LEGO based business. We're opening a physical store in our hometown (see info here) and are busy with bricks most of the time. Life has been just a wee bit hectic of late. But full of (mostly) *fun* challenges. I had to look up and see if anyone out there in this wide world had created some Anne-themed LEGO designs. BEHOLD:

See the other Anne set designs, including Green Gables and Matthew's carriage HERE.

Do you like to wear your books?

I do.

The following was one of Jonathan's Christmas presents to me this year. He knows me well, yes?

Here's the link to this scarf, as well as a few other literary scarfs, gloves and pillows for you to drool over.

Interested in throwing an Anne of Green Gables tea? I'm planning my 2016 edition of this annual tea (coinciding with the reading challenge, of course!).

Above is an image from my 2015 Anne of Green Gables Tea party - and a link to my description of the event. Last year I invited my guests to come to Idlewild with me. This year I'm hunting down a different them.

For inspiration I've been poking around online for other folk's ideas. A gathering of ideas:

A favorite quote of mine from this year's reading of Anne of Ingleside:

"Well that was life. Gladness and pain . . . hope and fear . . . and change. Always change! You could not help it.You had to let the old go and take the new to your heart . . . learn to love it and then let it go in turn."
Anne of Ingleside, Chapter 33

And that reminds me of this beautiful song, which I will leave with you today:

Happy reading!

Good for you on your endeavor with a LEGO store -- it sounds amazing. And I LOVE those Anne-inspired LEGO creations. :)

In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to hearing about your tea party this year!
